Western Washington University is a liberal arts college located up in Bellingham, approximately 25 minutes from the Canadian border and 2 hours north of Seattle. It is a member of the WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) and offers a tuition discount ($9,000) to qualifying students. WWU has 18,000 undergraduates and offers 12 pre-professional pathways, including nursing, optometry, occupational therapy, dentistry, and medicine. The Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary studies allows students to design an interdisciplinary program of study tailored to their interests and goals. WWU has an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio, an average class size of 29 students, and over 160 academic programs.
