HECA Conference and College Visitations: University of Delaware

I just returned from the HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association) annual conference in Philadelphia with a wealth of knowledge! I had the opportunity to visit 3 amazing campuses. The first is University of Delaware. UD is a gem of a school approximately 50 minutes from Philadelphia with easy access to Washington DC and NYC. With only 18,000 undergraduates and a 13:1 student/faculty ratio, it definitely has a private school feel. UD has 7 colleges, 150 majors and 100 minors offered. It is nationally recognized as a research university. It was the first university in America to launch a Study Abroad program in 1923 and offers boundless opportunities for student to take part in community service programs around the globe- many students study abroad during winter session. UD's unique World Scholars integrated program allows students to study abroad for 3 semesters during their 4 year program.
