DePaul University- Chicago

DePaul is an urban campus and the nation’s largest Catholic university with 16,000 undergrads. This college also has two campuses- Lincoln Park (main campus) and the downtown Loop Campus. DePaul has 10 different schools and colleges and offers more than 200 academic degrees. This TEST OPTIONAL university reviews applications holistically. They have a supportive Center for Disabilities program which offers clinician services for a small fee.

Its Pathways Honor Program offers accelerated degree completion and early admission to Rosalind Franklin Medical School. The MCAT requirement is waived for students accepted to the program. Forty-percent of new freshmen come from outside Illinois with California thelargest supplier of out-of-state applications.

Fun Fact: Do you want to know how DePaul got the mascot name, “Demons?” Back in the day, the football team had large “D’s” on their jerseys and hence were nicknamed the “D-Men.”
