UNC-Charlotte

• UNC Charlotte is an urban research university with 25,300 undergraduates which has seen the greatest growth in the NC college system. A brand new light rail system has been built that can take students from campus to downtown Charlotte in less than 15 minutes. Its school of architecture is quite competitive as is its direct admit nursing program. It’s 8 colleges include Business, Computing and Informatics, Education, Arts+Architecture, Engineering, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Health and Human Services, and University College (Exploratory). The University center for academic excellence offers excellent academic support. UNC Charlotte tracks demonstrated interest so it’s important to visit and/or reach out to an admission officer. Out of state students are held to a similar standard as in state student for admission. Fun Fact: 90% of students complete experiential learning through research, internships, co-ops, or education abroad.
