Providence College

Students at Providence College join a driven, close-knit, and spirited community that is grounded in Catholic and Dominican tradition. The Friar family consists of a strong alumni network over 65,000 strong. The Class of 2022 is composed of 1,125 students. This test-optional school has a retention rate of 92% and an average class size of 20. Its core curriculum is strengthened with its innovative Western Civilization seminar classes that foster close collaboration between faculty and students. Top majors offered include Business, Liberal Arts, and Science/Math/Engineering. 90% of their science students are accepted to Medical School. Dorms are separated by gender freshman year. Students may visit Guatemala and other service trips during “Maymester” and over spring break. Downtown Providence and Thayer Street (near Brown U) is a mere five minute Uber/Lyft ride away and offers a plethora of activities.
